OPCyberTalent is seeking a Field Support Engineer. This is a critical member of the MSP customer, providing exceptional front-line support to clients via email, phone, and on-site visits. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining physical and cloud-hosted environments, ensuring seamless operations and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Location Requirement: Kansas City, MO area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer-centric support through phone, email, and on-site assistance.

  • Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure and cloud environments.

  • Setup, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including servers, firewalls, switches, PCs, laptops, and access points.

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure environments, Active Directory, DNS, and Windows Servers.

  • Provide Office 365 application and desktop/laptop issue resolution.

  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and perform disaster recovery planning.

  • Administer and maintain VMware, NAS/SAN technologies, and other IT infrastructure.

  • Develop and update detailed documentation for issue investigations and resolutions.

  • Collaborate with clients to recommend hardware and software solutions.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DNS, and PowerShell.

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless, and firewalls.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, VMware, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Familiarity with PSA ticketing systems, RMM solutions, EDR, and anti-virus solutions.

  • Basic knowledge of IP phone systems, Wi-Fi, and printers.

Key Attributes:

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Self-Starter: Proactive and capable of independently managing and prioritizing tasks.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve unique technical issues efficiently.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft 365: Modern Desktop Administrator, Security Administrator

  • Microsoft Azure: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator

  • CompTIA: IT Fundamentals, Network+, Security+, A+
