OPCyberTalent is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to design or assist with design, implement, and maintain security solutions in compliance with organizational policies and standards for our Health Care customer. 

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Application Development, DevOps teams and business partners to integrate security into hardware, software, and network architectures while ensuring operational resilience. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can adapt to evolving threats while delivering innovative security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions that meet security standards.

  • Evaluate and improve network, system, and application architectures for enhanced security.

  • Monitor and analyze logs to identify trends, detect threats, and respond to security incidents.

  • Support audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.

  • Assist in developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

  • Conduct network monitoring and intrusion detection using tools like IDS/IPS, firewalls, and SIEM.

  • Integrate and optimize security tools, such as EDR, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms.

  • Collaborate with app development, systems, and network teams to deploy secure solutions.

  • Investigate and document technical incident reports and threat activity.

  • Deploy and maintain cloud-based security detections and protect against evolving threats.

  • Participate in threat intelligence and threat-hunting initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in information security, particularly in network security roles.

  • Desired certifications: CISSP, CISA, or CISM.

  • Expertise in network security, including VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection, and cloud security.

  • Practical experience with database security, vulnerability scanning, and malware protection.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or PowerShell).

  • Strong understanding of vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, and attacker TTPs.

  • Commitment to delivering prompt, high-quality service to business stakeholders.
